Killing Me Softly

Just frogged my first attempt yesterday, and I'm now trying for the second time on Vintage Velvet from Scarf Style. Here's where it stands now:

I hate this yarn! Don't get me wrong, it's pretty and all, and I think the finished product will be a treat to wear. But it twists up while knitting, and I'm having to go to great lengths to be sure that every stitch is tight and well-formed...no hurried knitting here. If I'm not careful with every stitch, somehow I end up with not just loose stitches, but what look like humongous loose "snags". I don't know how it happens, I've never had this problem with a yarn before, but then I've never knit a chenille type yarn before either.

Anyway, this has been sitting around because I was so frustrated with the yarn. I'm determined to get it done now, so that I can enjoy it a little before spring comes...
